I embroider mainly with cotton threads, such as stranded cotton or darning thread.

For individual pieces I also use lurex thread or beads. Most of my tools and materials are second-hand. I find my postcards at flea markets or buy job lots at online auctions. Through taking part in fairs and markets, people have also given me parcels of old photos and postcards.
